Clara St Patrick’s Day Parade
A colourful parade with plenty of music and culture along with a sports day on the Fair Green with all of the usual craic including tug of war, veterans football and boxing exhibition.

The Promise – Edenderry artist’s depiction of the post Celtic Tiger landscape
Edenderry based artist, Catherine Brereton will hold a solo show in Offaly with a striking body of new work, entitled ‘the Promise’ which depicts imagery of the post Celtic Tiger landscape of ghost estates and half built hotels. These are all real locations, mainly in the Midlands, which now just hold fragments of memories of what they were meant to be.

As “The Troubles” shut down Belfast in the 1970’s Terri Hooley opens a record shop on the most bombed half-mile in Europe and becomes the leader of a motley band of kids and punks who join him in his mission to create a new community to bring the city back to life.

Public Access Arts Workshops - Writing Words – One Day Workshop with John Saunders

FilmOffaly Vendor Card Launch
FilmOffaly – Offaly’s Film Commission invites local businesses and the public to the launch of FilmOffaly’s new Vendor Discount Card. This initiative was launched to the film industry in November of 2013 in Dublin. Many Offaly businesses have joined this new initiative to give discounts to film production companies filming in Offaly.

The Promise – Edenderry artist’s depiction of the post Celtic Tiger landscape
Edenderry based artist, Catherine Brereton will hold a solo show in Offaly with a striking body of new work, entitled ‘the Promise’ which depicts imagery of the post Celtic Tiger landscape of ghost estates and half built hotels. These are all real locations, mainly in the Midlands, which now just hold fragments of memories of what they were meant to be.

Guided Eco Cycle Boora - Offaly Naturalists’ Field Club and Lough Boora Parklands Event
The route will follow the cycle track to Mesolithic site and take in the new cycle track to west Boora (5.4 km or 10.8 km return trip). There will be plenty of stops along the way to look at features of the cutaway including wild flowers and orchids. The Marsh Helleborine and Bee Orchids at the Mesolithic Site should be in bloom.

Irish Midland Youth Orchestra
The Irish Midlands Youth Orchestra was established in 2005 and is now a well established young orchestra, from all over the Midlands - Westmeath, Offaly, Laois, Kildare, Meath and Roscommon.
