Enterprise Ireland and Athlone Institute of Technology will host one of Ireland’s best-known speakers on EU funding, Dr Sean McCarthy of Hyperion Ltd, on 3 September in AIT.

This morning event will assist companies in the region who are at stage-of-readiness for EU funding to understand how best to access this €80 billion fund. While much has been written about Horizon 2020, this event will guide your small-to-medium sized company through the steps required to access this funding with the support of AIT researchers and Enterprise Ireland.

Dr Sean McCarthy has been involved in the last seven EU funding programmes, including in a consultative role with Horizon 2020, so he is uniquely placed to advise on the funding call and how best to approach it.

Over the last round of EU funding for innovation and research 2007-2013, Irish companies & academic institutions accessed in the region of €600m. This figure is expected to double over the life of Horizon 2020.

Combining the experience of Dr Sean McCarthy and the support of Enterprise Ireland and Athlone Institute of Technology, this event is a vital primer for accessing Horizon 2020. It will help you develop and filter your ideas, while aligning them with this tranche of EU funding opportunities.
