Food Futures 2030
The first ever Food Futures 2030 event will take place in The Heritage Killenard on March 21st 2018. The event is being run by Laois County Council in conjunction with Laois LEO and Laois Partnership, as part of the Connect 2 Laois for Food programme.

This exciting event will bring food service operators, food producers and buyers together under the one roof. The event will be MC’ed by James Burke of James Burke & Associates.
With registration and networking taking place from 9am to 10am, the day includes an exciting line up of speakers including Domini Kemp from ITSA, Darina Allen from Ballymaloe Cookery School, Olivia Duff from Boyne Valley Food Series, Headford Arms, Fáilte Ireland Food Ambassador, Grace Binchy from Bord Bia’s Thinking House, Paddy O’Connell of Paddy O’s Granola, Andi Jarvis from Eximo Marketing and a focus on the Retail Sector including Colin Jephson from Ardkeen Quality Food Store. The event will close at 4pm.
A centre piece of the day will be a Producer Showcase of local food producers.
Food Futures 2030 is an industry event targeting buyers, suppliers, those working in the food, tourism, hospitality & retail sectors. If you are thinking of starting a business in the food or hospitality business, join us to hear our exciting speakers, panel discussions and Showcase of Laois food.

Connect 2 Laois for Food is a collaborative project between Laois County Council, the Local Enterprise Office and Laois Partnership. Connect 2 Laois for Food is aimed at supporting and nurturing start-up and established businesses in the County and allow them to have access to a programme of supports to improve their businesses. The lighting of the Uisneach beacon fire was the signal for igniting fires on many hills across the whole island creating a unique ‘fire eye’ with Uisneach being the pupil. This heralded the coming of summer.
