Secret Of Offaly Public Art Project - Installation by Amanda Rice

This public art project entitled - An artist's response to the Offaly scientist John Joly “Notes on the (Microscopical) Character of Krakatoa” has been undertaken by Amanda Rice.

Old School House Clonbullogue

11th August at 10:00 am to 13th August 2015 at 1:00 pm

The viewer can expect to peer into a geometric sculptural object and see video images of Joly's artifacts and hear a spoken excerpt from one of John Joly's research papers on Krakatoa

Hill of Uisneach
The lighting of the Uisneach beacon fire was the signal for igniting fires on many hills across the whole island creating a unique ‘fire eye’ with Uisneach being the pupil. This heralded the coming of summer.
