Brendan Gleeson endorses FilmOffaly Vendor Card
Published: 18th February 2014
The FilmOffaly Vendor Card was launched in Offaly last night (Feb 17th) with a special video message from Brendan Gleeson.
Offaly County Council’s latest business initiative makes a compelling case in how the arts can creatively contribute to economic growth. The FilmOffaly Vendor Card is unique in Ireland, with businesses offering discounts to production companies in order to attract them into the county to film. Speaking at the launch, the Chairperson of FilmOffaly, Cllr. Nichola Hogan remarked that “We firmly believe that we need to be innovative and creative in terms of promoting film into Offaly, but also to support indigenous filmmaking in the county and that is something we have seen a huge rise in recently.”
Filmmakers and business interested in getting involved can look up the scheme on www.filmoffaly.ie and the FilmOffaly Brendan Gleeson interview can also be accessed on the website and on YouTube. More information about FilmOffaly can be obtained on 057 9357400 and firstname.lastname@example.org
