160 people came to see the last show in Kerry in Nov 2012. Eddie Alford lives in Offaly. He writes and directs the shows on a yearly basis and is currently writing another show that will be great craic with good punch lines.
"Breakfast at Dalkey" is set in 1930's Ireland and explores a family and their relationships, including the widowers remarriage to a woman half his age! A wake, emigration to America, ballroom dancing and a reading of the will!!!
The writer and the company won an Argus Angel for Artistic Achievement in The Brighton Festival 2011, the third biggest festival in the world. In 2010 they were nominated for Best New Writing at the Brighton Fringe and Festival.
Breakfast in Dalkey will run in The Brighton Festival in May. It will be revived in November prior to travelling to Offaly. Eddie Alford's sparkling dialogue and sense of humour shine through the play. The mixture of dance and song illuminate the story and a good night will be had by all.
