Durrow Scarecrow Festival is an original and quirky festival with something for all ages. Feed your imagination and soak up the fun filled atmosphere in this welcoming picturesque village where there is a surprise around every corner.
Voted one of the best festivals in the country by Mark Graham of the 'A Year of Festivals' blog, this quirky festival now in its 4th year has something for everyone over the 9 day period. Incorporating the 4th All Ireland Scarecrow Championships over 120 scarecrows will come from all corners of the country and further afield to adorn the streets of this picturesque village and compete for the prestigious title of 'Overall Winner'.
This year in celebration of The Gathering 2013 a number of additional events will take place in Durrow throughout the 9 day period including school and club reunions.
There is a surprise around every corner in Durrow so let the scarecrows feed your imagination and warm your heart; take part in the many craft workshops; enjoy the entertainment; place your bets on the duck derby; cheer from the side-lines of the many sporting events; test your knowledge in the table quiz but above all enjoy your time with family and friends in the warm and welcoming town of Durrow.
