Inexperienced Directors - learn how to tackle a script. The question of where to start, what to look for, how to organise and channel ideas, will be explored in a safe and fun environment. This interactive Master Class will aim to provide a set of rules and guidelines to give you the confidence to take you through the rehearsal process and on to presenting your first production. Actors, set builders, technicians etc., interested in the process, are also welcome.

Anne Mekitarian graduated from Samuel Beckett Centre TCD with B.A. (Hons.) in Drama & Theatre Studies and M.Phil. (Irish Theatre Studies). A professional drama teacher, Anne is a director, actor, adjudicator and DLI Summer School Director. She compiled, devised and directed No Hay To Save In Brooklyn (based on Brian Friel’s early plays) and presented it at international festivals in USA, at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, at Gothenburg Celtic Festival and at numerous venues throughout Ireland.
