20th Annual Walking Festival Weekend One of Ireland's longest running walking festival - the Slieve Bloom Walking Festival, with a great choice of walks over 4 days will take place on the May Bank Holiday Weekend. Join us for 4 days of great walks, enjoy the outdoors and have fun.
Slieve Bloom Mountains
2nd May to 5th May 2014
Choose from pleasant and easy woodland walks to challenging hikes through wilderness areas in the beautiful Slieve Bloom Mountains.
First walk on Friday evening at 7 pm from Kinnitty Community Centre. Choice of walks on Saturday starting at Kinnitty Community Centre from 10.30 am. Sunday choice of walks starting at Clonaslee Community Centre from 10.30 am. Monday choice of walks starting at Kinnitty Community Centre and Clonaslee Community Centre from 10.30 am.
€20.00 walking registration for the weekend or €8.00 per walk

The Midlands Regional Transition Team (MRTT) is collating proposals for projects which can assist a positive transition from peat harvesting and power generation in affected communities and related groups in the wider Midland Region.
