Laois Youth Theatre Returns
Time: 10th January 2015
Laois Tidy Towns Information Session
he Seminar will give practical advice to groups on how to improve their scores in the Tidy Towns Competition, especially in the wildlife, community and waste management categories. Speakers will cover how to enhance wildlife and biodiversity in your town, and sustainable waste management.

Laois Heritage Society AGM
It has been another busy year for the Society, with a full programme of events throughout 2014. This included a wide range of talks and outings as well as keeping a watching brief of all matters relating to the heritage of County Laois.

James Fintan Lalor Autumn School
The third annual James Fintan Lalor Autumn School will explore the centenary of the 1916 Rising. The school will begin the public engagement process in Laois, discussing in detail themes relevant to the people, events and lead-up to the Easter Rising.

Helping people in Communities across Laois to cope with Mental Health issues is the focus of a major week long initiative which will run across the County.
Time: 5th October to 11th October 2015


Laois Enterprise Week
Free seminars, mentoring, business advice for one whole week, that is Laois Enterprise Week. It is also a great opportunity to network with other businesses in Laois.
Time: 5th October to 9th October 2015
James Fintan Lalor Autumn School

South Laois Tourism Easter Walk
South Laois invite you to the MacGiollaphadraig way (17km linear walk) on Easter Monday. Starting 12 noon in Durrow South Laois and concluding Gathabawn North Kilkenny. At the conclusion of the walk refreshments are available in Mackeys Bar.

Laois Heritage: Wildlife Workshop
Understanding wildlife in your area (how to identify and enjoy the wildlife of your area and wider countryside) with Michael Jacob.
Time: 15th April 2015 at 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Laois Heritage: Wildlife Workshop
Planting for Wildlife (how to create colour displays that are of benefit to local wildlife) with Lynn O'Keeffe-Lascar. Both events are free but we ask that you let us know if you would like to attend. Light refreshments will be served on arrival at both events. If you would like to attend either or both workshops, please let me know by return. Please note, these events are open to Tidy Towns groups, Schools, Community Development Groups and anyone else who might be interested - please feel free to share this information. This year, Laois Youth Theatre's talented group of 15-18year olds will tackle Jim Cartwright's play, “The Mobile Phone Show”.

Saibhreas opening, in association with the Laois Arthouse. Opening to be performed by Charles Flanagan TD, Minister for Foreign Affairs.

Fantastic spread of events for all ages, and really deserves all of our support.

Fun Art and Clay Sculpture Workshops
For children aged 6-12 running from Tue 4th Aug – Thurs 6th Aug - Fee €25.

W.B. Yeats evening
Comprising of a reading of Yeats' poetry by Eamonn Grennan (Producer/Director), music and songs of Yeats and the era by Eimear Dunne and a staging of ''The Muse & Mr Yeats'', a play for two voices performed by the Curlew Theatre Company.
