50 jobs to be created at site of Longford’s Cameron plant

There is a major economic boost to Longford town today, with 50 jobs being created at the old Cameron plant. Off-Site Construction, an Irish start-up company, will begin production on January 3rd. The Cameron manufacturing facility in Longford town closed earlier this year, with the loss of 170 jobs.
However, a start-up company called Off-Site Construction has leased 25,000 square feet of the premises and it’s set to open in the new year.
The company will initially produce bathroom pods for hotels, but plans to expand and lease more of the Cameron plant after a year.
It has already recruited its production management and design and administration personnel and has advertised for tradesmen, such as plumbers, electricians, tilers and general operatives.
