Brain Teasers was mind blowing!

The young people of Puttaghaun in Tullamore should be rightly proud of themselves! Their performance of a play they wrote themselves last Oct 31st in Tullamore Library to an audience of family, friends members of Tullamore Town Council was a great success.
The play came about through weekly workshops held by Jasango Theatre Company at Puttaghaun Community Centre since January. The young people came up with the idea that the play would be about the things that keep children awake at night, such as why do parents spell out words and why is the Easter bunny so unfair! The project was funded by Tullamore Town Council, but managed by Offaly County Council Arts Office.
Speaking at the launch Angela Ryan of Jasango Theatre who worked with then young people said “it has been an absolute privilege to work with these wonderful young people, you are the future writers, musicians and actors of Offaly and I am very proud of you all.”. Following the performance Mayor of Tullamore Paddy Rowland said “I’m blown away, this has been fantastic and everyone involved in this project should be very proud, especially the young actors and writers.”
