New jobs as Laois chosen for Ireland's first plastic bottle recycling plant

The Panda facility is due to be running by end of 2021 and will process up to one billion plastic bottles a year.

Positive news on many fronts with the news that Ireland's first plastic bottle recycling plant is set to open in Portlaoise by Q4 2021 with the promise of 100 new jobs for Laois & the Midlands Region.

This is a huge boost to the circular economy and will put and end to exporting Ireland's plastic bottle waste abroad for recycling.

Panda have also just introduced their first solar powered municipal waste & recycling truck in Dublin.
