Offaly Arts Act Grants 2015

Offaly County Council has opened up its funding scheme ‘Arts Act Grants 2015’. The scheme is for the community development of the arts in Offaly and groups, arts organisations, schools and individual artists are eligible to apply.

The funding scheme is competitive and applicants are encouraged to ensure that projects proposed are innovative and are of a high quality and propose a maximum community impact within their objectives. 

Successful applicants should expect awards to be in the region of €200 - €500.

Some of the projects funded and competed in 2014 include, a filmmaking project in Gallen Community School, Ferbane with Hello Camera; a writers residency at Tin Jug Studio which exposed Offaly to visiting authors; Back to 80’s production at St. Mary’s Youth Centre Tullamore; drama workshops at Edenderry Youth Café; the purchase of new music for Tullamore Town Band; a special needs dance workshop provided by Birr Stage Guild; a collaborative choral performance at Charleville Castle and drumming master classes for the award winning St. Colmchille’s Pipe Band among many others.

The closing date for applications is Friday 13th Feb at 3pm.
