Open Invitation to Exhibit in Offaly County Council Atrium

Published: 8th January 2014

Offaly County Council invites applications from community groups, arts organisations, schools and artists to use the exhibition atrium for the period April 2014 – December 2014. Closing date is Friday 17th January at 4pm

The Atrium is an excellent public venue and gallery to display visual art and we would encourage, Community Groups, Schools, Voluntary Art Groups and Professional Visual Artists in Offaly to make a submission to exhibit new works either as a solo exhibit or collaborative.

Over the months of September to December 2013 Offaly County Council’s Atrium exhibited several wonderful exhibitions from community organisations in Offaly including, ‘Creative Abilities’ by the participants of RehabCare Resource Centre Tullamore, ‘Mapping Towns’ a community architecture project, ‘Paris’ by Slievebloom Photography Club and presently on show is ‘Engage with Colour’ by Banagher Youthreach. In February and March 2014 we will be treated to exhibitions from professional artists within Offaly.

Those wishing to make an application need to be mindful of the scale and contemporary nature of the building and ensure that they have a high standard of presentation, appropriate to the designed space. Offaly County Council will make available its exhibition facilities to all exhibitors for free for up to a month at a time, but the cost of exhibiting will be borne by the organising group or individual.
