A major urban regeneration project for Edenderry continues to progress, as Offaly County Council plans for a new flagship Library and Arts Centre move to design phase. The ambitious Blundell Masterplan envisages a new urban quarter for the town, with a new link from the Square and JKL Street opening up to Blundell Castle and Park.

The proposed Library and Arts Centre will form a central element and focal point for the broader development and regeneration project, which will create mixed-use development opportunities for the new area, in addition to new open civic spaces.
