The Irish Hotel Awards 2022 have been announced at The Radisson Blu Hotel, Athlone, where 400 hospitality industry professionals gathered to celebrate. The points are marked according to a ‘280-point report’ compiled by a team of researchers. The marking is meticulous, as they document each establishment from arrival to departure, spanning all departments of the hotel from kitchen porter to reception.
The Heritage Hotel and Spa in Killenard were Regional Winners in Four Categories. They were Leinster winners for Great Irish Breakfast and Gourmet Getaway of the Year. They also won in the Regional category for Chef of the Year which went to Tom Comerford, and Nicoletta Muntean won for Kitchen Porter of the Year in the Region.
The County Arms Hotel in Birr won Romantic Hotel of the Year in the Leinster Region. Kinnitty Castle won Wedding Hotel of the Year in the Region and Congratulations to Glasson Lakehouse who won Golf Experience of the Year in the Leinster Region.
Castlemartyr Resort in East Co. Cork was named Best Five-Star Hotel in Ireland and The Lake Hotel in Co. Kerry won the 4 Star Hotel of the Year.
Kilkea Castle in Co. Kildare was named the Castle Hotel of the Year, Delphi Lodge in Connemara, Galway was awarded Gourmet Getaway of the Year.
